6 More Weeks

 Today Punxsutawney Phil Sees his shadow!!

How many people actually believe in this groundhog sees his shadow anyway?

I'm not one to think a groundhogs shadow really lets us know how many more weeks we have of winter. If I'm not mistaken he's proven some of his predictions of us having 6 more weeks wrong, yep the groundhog isn't always right, so maybe hes wrong  this time.  Plus, since this winter hasn't  been a winter of all winters. I  would like to think spring is closer then 6 weeks.  We have not had much snow, we have had a dusting, thats about it. So it sure hasn't felt like winter here.  I love snow so I'm hoping we get some real snow amounts before winter is over. 

I dont call a Winter, Winter without snow. I could never live somewhere, where they do not get snow, somewhere where winter temps are Spring temps here in Missouri. 

This time last year we were having a blizzard, Enough snow to keep us inside for awhile and snow days were on.  We have 6 snow days in the district  till the kids have to start making them up. We have not used 1 yet. Last yr we had to make up 6 plus some.  Living in the rural part of the county we have to have those snow days added in because we don't have the pleasure of the city clearing off our roads.

Hopefully this isn't a start to a miserable summer full of mosquito, and drought conditions.
